In capitalist America, continued war is justified if it helps the bottom line. And in the case of the middle east, it’s not just about defense stocks, it’s the price of oil which if our capitalist’s overlords here in the United States are honest with the public its the only reason why the U.S. is even in the region.
In all fairness though, it’s not just American capitalism whose consistent need for both economic and military imperialism is necessary to maintain itself. That’s the story of capitalism in general.
