Mitt Romney triggered the further right last week when he became the first Republican senator to vote in favor of removing a president of his own party during the Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.
Of course, the Republican majority in the Senate still voted to acquit Trump and Romeny’s vote was useless from that standpoint, it still triggered those further right of center in the United States, like Fox News blowhard Jeanine Piro who appeared to have on too many glasses of Cupcake Prosecco before taking to the airwaves.
