Shepard Smith is out at Fox News.
The veteran newsman who’s been at the network since its inception back in 1996 abruptly quit during the sign off of his daily show this afternoon.
It’s unclear why Smith is leaving at this point (while in the middle of his contract), perhaps he had enough of the polarization between the daytime news format of Fox News and the nighttime TV pundits that fluff the nuts of Donald Trump? Or maybe Trump himself was able to convince Fox News executives to push him out?
Either way Smith will probably land on another one of the big networks with some anchor job, he’s too high profile not too. Of course after that pressumed non-compete that Smith seemed to elude to in his sign off.
