An iconic man of television who inspired millions of kids and adults alike is getting immortalized on the silver screen by an iconic actor.
Monday, the official trailer was released for “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”, a biographical drama on the life of famed children’s television host Fred Rogers played by Tom Hanks.
The film — set for release this Thanksgiving — shows Hanks portraying Rogers in a simply stunning and remarkable way that brings back to life the beloved television legend.
Inspired by the real-life relationship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, the film will tell the story of Junod’s life-changing experience while writing Rogers’ profile for Esquire in 1998.
