🚨BREAKING: Nikki Haley resigns as UN Ambassador

Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, looks on during an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York City on Nov. 29.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley announced Tuesday morning that she would be resigning from her post according to Axios.

Donald Trump confirmed the news with reporters further adding that Haley would leave her position at the end of the year but also raised the possibility of taking a six-month break and eventually make her return.

Trump was apparently notified of Haley’s ambitions to step aside last week, however her decision came a surprise to a number of foreign policy advisors within the administration including National Security Advisor John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Someone who has spoken out against the POTUS in the past, and endorsed Marco Rubio during the 2016 presidential primaries during her time as governor of South Carolina, Haley affirmed that she has no 2020 ambitions stating that she would campaign with the President when re-election time runs around.

Some however within the White House are questioning the timing of her decision considering Trump’s SCOTUS victory this past weekend with the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh. We’re also less than a month outside a vital midterm election which could see a drastic transformation of the U.S. Congress.
