Aside from Rachel Maddow becoming the liberal version of Alex Jones, MSNBC continues to solidify themselves as mainstream corporate media garbage with shit like this from Mimi Rocah.
During a Sunday morning panel alongside Zerlina Maxwell, Rocah gave the most baseless critique of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders you’ll ever see or hear. During her diatribe, Rocah said that Sanders “made her skin crawl” and saw him as a “not pro-woman candidate” without adding any facts to back up her circus claims. Furthermore, Rocah who made mention that she’s more of a “moderate democrat” — which explains a lot — hoped that his placement next to Elizabeth Warren in the upcoming debates will help expose Bernie as some kind of anti-women candidate. Not to mention what makes matters worse is there was absolutely zero pushback from any of the other pundits on the panel as the network opted to go break rather than making Rocah accountable for her bullshit.
Seriously it was nonsense like this that helped the Democrats lose the 2016 election against one of the worst presidential candidates the United States has ever seen. Not that Hillary Clinton was much better but if the Dems did anything well in 2016, it was alienating Sanders supports and doing absolutely nothing to lure political independents.
Not that Elizabeth Warren is a bad candidate, she’s lightyears better than Clinton and her appeal to further left voters is understandable. But thinking she’s any better than Bernie Sanders when it comes to addressing prominent women’s issues just because she happens to be a woman is a pretty shitty perception to take to the voting booth.
