Bill O’Reilly is done at FOX News.
In a statement released by its parent company 21st Century Fox, O’Reilly has been let go following a multitude of sexual harassment allegations.
“After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,”
In retrospect the Network had no other choice. Aside from showing O’Reilly the door being the right thing to do, especially after what happened with former top executive Roger Ailes, advertisers were leaving the O’Reilly Factor in mass droves.
Nonetheless it’s been quite the year for the network that seemingly should be on a high considering who’s now in the Oval Office. However in that time FOX News has had to deal with an assortment of sexual harassment issues surrounding Ailes and O’Reilly then there was the very public departure of Megyn Kelly who jumped ship to NBC.
So who replaces O’Reilly? Apparently 21st Century Fox is throwing around a few ideas which include a non-political voice, to moving Tucker Carlson to the spot or possibly Laura Ingram which excuse me while I vomit. Then again she’ll fit right in. Or perhaps this is a chance for the Network to move in on Tomi Lahren?
What’s really quite sad to consider is if Donald Trump worked for FOX News, he probably wouldn’t have a job either as Charlie Sykes eludes to.
So our standards for cable hosts are apparently higher than for president of the United States.

UPDATE: According to Variety, Tucker Carlson will fill the 8PM time slot.
This is probably the last thing Bill O'Reilly will ever say on @FoxNews: https://t.co/Pa3zo2rRmL pic.twitter.com/z1i16Ywk3j
