🚨 BREAKING: Theresa May survives no-confidence vote

British prime minster Theresa May will remain at her post, at least for now after she was able to survive a no-confidence vote on the floor of Parliament Wednesday night.

The vote came after a contentious back-and-forth Tuesday in the House of Commons between May, members of her own Conservative party as well as the opposition over her handling of the Brexit negotiations.

The prime minister won the confidence vote with a majority of 83, with 63% of Conservative MPs backing her and 37% voting against her.

The BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg said the result was “not at all comfortable” for the prime minister and a “real blow” to her authority.

The confidence vote was triggered by 48 of her MPs angry at her Brexit policy, which they say betrays the 2016 referendum result.

May has had plenty of “blows” to her authority whether its come from within her own government or outside factors such as the criticisms that has been hurled her way by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Seriously though, British politics on the floor of Parliament seems pretty lit…
