One of the biggest fears inside the city of Miami during Hurricane Irma were the many construction cranes located throughout the downtown area.
This one particular crane wasn’t so lucky as the winds snapped it in half sending into the building and street below.

It’s believed these cranes are made to withstand winds up to 145 mph so unless there was something else wrong, wind gusts inside Miami have surpassed that threshold.
