When Hillary Clinton said that half of Donald Trump‘s supporters were “deplorable” last week she of course was making a gross generalization she later regretted. It surely was a regrettable remark, no matter if there was any truth behind it given the political season and the point in the cycle we’re in.
But there’s some real truth behind Clinton’s words from last week given what allegedly happened to a 69-year old woman at a Trump rally in North Carolina Monday.
Shirley Teter, who’s on oxygen after a recent operation was “cold-cocked” in the face after participating in the anti-Trump rally when she told apparent thin-skinned Trump supporter “You better learn to speak Russian”.
Like candidate, like supporter I guess:
“Whenever groups of them would start chanting ‘Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump!’ I would chant back, ‘Dump! Dump! Dump! Dump!’ It was kind of comical,” Teter said.
After the rally, Teter experienced something she had never seen in all of her protests. Peace teetered over into something else.
“I said, ‘You better learn to speak Russian,’ and I said, ‘The first two words are going to be ha ha.’ He stopped in his tracks, and he turned around and just cold-cocked me,” Teter said.
The deplorable-douche the Police are now looking for is reportedly Richard Campbell of Edisto Island, South Carolina who has a warrant out for his arrest.
No word yet if Donald Trump will pay his legal fees.
As far as Teter goes, it sounds like she’s going to be okay.
