If there’s one thing Donald Trump is good at, it’s worrying and considering the mundane.
This morning, the Washington Post published an article discussing how the New York real estate mogul coined the phrase “Make America Great Again” – which was originally a Ronald Reagan and George Bush slogan back in 1980 – while also giving some insight on that 2020 campaign that can’t seem to get here soon enough.
Halfway through his interview with The Washington Post, Trump shared a bit of news: He already has decided on his slogan for a reelection bid in 2020.
“Are you ready?” he said. “ ‘Keep America Great,’ exclamation point.”
“Get me my lawyer!” the president-elect shouted.
Two minutes later, one arrived.
“Will you trademark and register, if you would, if you like it — I think I like it, right? Do this: ‘Keep America Great,’ with an exclamation point. With and without an exclamation. ‘Keep America Great,’ ” Trump said.
“Got it,” the lawyer replied.
However if the president-elect is looking to register the domain, someone in Australia already beat him to it:
Seems like Trump forgot to register the domain for his 2020 slogan – it's owned by someone in Australia: pic.twitter.com/nJMWN5OpZm
