Donald Trump can apparently return to the public on Saturday after COVID-19 diagnosis

Donald Trump will apparently be cleared to return to the public this coming Saturday according to a brief letter released by the White House physician, Commander Sean Conley.

Okay… a couple of things here.

First, the White House refuses to when the last time Trump tested negative for COVID-19 nor does Commander Conley state in the letter as to whether Trump would have to test negative for the virus to leave quarantine.

Second, the letter gives us very limited medical diagnostics which they seem to cherry-pick. The public still doesn’t know the results of a chest x-ray or anything really having to do with Trump’s lungs which you would think is vital considering COVID-19 is a deadly respiratory disease.

Finally, we still don’t know how serious the illness has been for Trump, a 74-year-old, morbidly obese male which places him in a high-risk category. While it’s true that under most circumstances according to the CDC a 10-day isolation from the time you started displaying symptoms of coronavirus would normally permit someone to return to public life. However, the CDC also states that more severe cases would require up to 20 days of isolation since individuals could still shed virus outside the original 10-day window.

Again though, we still don’t know the extent of Trump’s illness but can speculate considering what we do know and what we do know is Trump was airlifted to Walter Reed Medical Center, was given supplemental oxygen, and an experimental drug to help fight the virus.

If Trump wasn’t experiencing a more severe case of COVID, then why take all these seemingly more serious precautions including having been administered an experimental cocktail which only 1000 people have been given?

In the end, though, Donald Trump is a sociopath with a shit ton of power and Commander Conley is a U.S. Navy doctor who must obey a direct order from his commander and chief.
