During a MAGA rally in Muskegon, Michigan, cultist of Donald Trump chanted “lock her up” in reference to that state’s governor Gretchen Whitmer over her response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trump — who didn’t and continues not to take the virus seriously even after contracting it himself gave his stamp of approval to the chant saying “lock them all up” with “them” referring to his other political rivals including democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
For Whitmer though, this all comes after a plot by right-wing domestic terrorists to kidnap her was foiled.
Whitmer responded to the chants and Trump’s approval on Twitter:
This is exactly the rhetoric that has put me, my family, and other government officials’ lives in danger while we try to save the lives of our fellow Americans. It needs to stop. https://t.co/EWkNQx3Ppx

Trump has been pressed in recent weeks over white supremacy and QAnon as he has reluctantly “disavowed” white supremacy and claimed to not know what QAnon is. Perhaps though the main stream media should begin to press the President as to whether he supports right-wing terrorist groups kidnapping democratic governors? Many of these groups will maintain that they’re “arresting” political rivals and will in a sense claim legitimacy in their actions from a President who gave his approval.
