In a much anticipated speech to the United Nations, Donald Trump unsurprisingly made headway with comments pertaining to North Korea, their leader Kim Jong Un and their continued pursuit of nuclear weapons.
During the speech, Trump indicated that the United States would have “no choice but to totally destroy North Korea” if their “reckless” pursuit of nuclear weapons continues.

Pyongyang’s “reckless” pursuit of nuclear weapons “threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life,” Trump told the 193-member U.N. General Assembly.
If North Korea continues down this path, Trump said, “we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”
“Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime,” Trump said, using a mocking nickname for North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.
Both bombastic leaders have recently stepped up their rhetoric in recent months, Trump by words and Kim Jong Un more so with action as the two country’s seemingly move closer and closer to a military conflict. Last month, Trump indicated the United States would unleash “fire and fury like the world has never seen” if the DPRK continued their saber-rattling and threats towards the United States and its ally’s. As recently as today, Trump also called on UN delegates to put more pressure on North Korea during this incredibly contentious time.

However since the “fire and fury” threat, Kim Jong Un has stepped up missile and nuclear testing which included shooting multiple ICBM’s over the Japanese Island in recent weeks and it’s sixth and most powerful nuclear test on September 3rd.
Not to mention, if Trump’s words weren’t dramatic enough, delegates from North Korea were reportedly sitting right in the front row for the U.S. President’s speech, something the UN said was predetermined due to it’s lottery system for determining the seating at such events.
