Joe Walsh, a former republican congressman out of Illinois from 2011 to 2013 incited some controversy Thursday in a social media post seemingly threatening President Obama and the Black Lives Matter movement. This came in the wake of the Dallas ambush shootings that resulted in the highest loss of Police life since September 11th.
In a deleted tweet, Walsh said “3 Dallas Cops killed, 7 wounded. This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you.”
Love to be a former Congressman threatening the life of the President of the United States & calling for a race war pic.twitter.com/DGl8pMuiKs

This of course caused a backlash on Twitter from some like John Legend who suggested the former government official be arrested for his threatening rhetoric.
Joe Walsh needs to be arrested for threatening our President. STFU @walshfreedom

After the response he got, Walsh first (like previously mentioned) deleted the tweet then tried to step back on those comments by saying he’s was only trying to ‘defend our cops’.
I wasn't calling for violence, against Obama or anyone. Obama's words & BLM's deeds have gotten cops killed. Time for us to defend our cops.

Tweet first, think second. I guess we know why this guy is no longer service in Congress. That same divisive nonsense is also a large part of the growing racial divide we have in this country.
