Jon Schaffer, the frontman of heavy metal band Iced Earth, noted Oath Keeper and January 6th rioter has gone missing.
According to a report out of The Republic, D.C. attorneys have attempted to serve Schaffer 25 different times for his participation in the fascist attempts at a government coup back on January 6, 2021.
These attempts to serve Schaffer come after court officials have tried seven different known addresses affiliated with Schaffer to no avail.
It also comes after Schaffer was originally cooperating with authorities for his role on January 6.
Schaffer originally turned himself in in the days after the Capitol riots and plead guilty to two of the six charges brought forth against him. Those charges included obstruction of an official proceeding of Congress and trespassing on restricted grounds of the Capitol while armed with a deadly or dangerous weapon. According to The Republic, as part of his plea deal, he must notify authorities of travel outside the state of Indiana.
According to Blabbermouth, DC court officials now believe Schaffer is hiding out in a mobile home in Auburndale, Florida.
“Since locating that address, the District has attempted service there at least five times, yet Schaffer refuses to answer the door — thereby preventing effective service absent further relief from the court.”
Blabbermouth also goes on to cite several other addresses Schaffer could be per court documents including three residences in the Columbus, Indiana area; a house near Orlando, Florida where Schaffer‘s mother lives; an address in Georgetown, Delaware; an apartment in Crystal City, Florida; and a gated mobile home community in Auburndale, Florida.
Notably, the Auburndale, Florida location had a callbox with “J. Schaffer” written on the front with vehicles in front sporting Indiana plates. However, when attempts were made to serve Schaffer no one answered the door.
