CBS News has learned that White House advisor and daughter to the President of the United States Ivanka Trump has received five trademarks from China amid trade talks with the US.
According to the CBS report, four of the five trademarks revolve around child care centers, sunglasses and wedding dresses while the fifth covers brokerage, charitable fundraising and art valuation services. The trademarks were approved on January 5th of this year as ethical concerns continue to be a huge issue (among many) for the Trump White House.

Four trademarks, including child care centers, sunglasses and wedding dresses, were approved on Sunday. A fifth, covering brokerage, charitable fundraising and art valuation services, was approved on Jan.6, according to online trademark office records. The applications were filed in 2016 and 2017. If no one objects, they will be finalized after 90 days.
Ivanka Trump’s expanding intellectual property holdings have long raised ethical concerns, particularly in China, where the courts and bureaucracy tend to reflect the will of the ruling Communist Party. Even though Ivanka Trump, who serves as a White House advisor, shut down her brand last year, critics say the trademarks could help her revive her business after her father leaves office.
Ivanka Trump’s lawyers in China did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
With these latest trademark approvals the Trump family seemingly continues to capitalize off their political power not only in the United States but around the World.
January aside, the Trump family was granted a total of 18 trademarks during the month of November. In October, China granted Ivanka Trump Marks LLC a total of 16 total trademarks covering Ivanka-branded fashion gear including sunglasses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as well as beauty services and voting machines.
But didn’t Ivanka Trump shut down her business last year?
Yes, Ivanka Trump did in fact shut down her business last year as retailers in the United States began pulling her items for what they said were declining sales.
So what gives with these new approvals?
Well many believe that the Trump family could be setting themselves up for when Trump leaves office, possibly at the end of his current term or unless he’s forced out prior.
In any sense though, that doesn’t take away from the shitty ethics at play here by a an elitist family who continues to display how none of the rules apply to them. Not to mention the perceived corruption at play here with trademarks being approved amid trade talks between the two Country’s. You can only imagine what kind of sleazy backdoor personal agreements are being made that the public has zero knowledge about.
