Baby Huey, otherwise known as Kim Jong-Un has reportedly banned sarcasm in the hermit nation of North Korea.
The reason? Apparently the Great Leader has a fear that people will only agree with him “ironically” according to the Telegraph. The new measures were rolled in a series of mass meetings where the citizens of the DPRK were basically told if you’re sarcastic, especially towards the regime you’ll probably be eating rats for the rest of your life in one of their luxurious labor camps.
“One state security official personally organised a meeting to alert local residents to potential ‘hostile actions’ by internal rebellious elements,” Radio Free Asia’s Korean Services quoted a source as saying.
“The main point of the lecture was ‘keep your mouths shut’.”
And, if you’re caught saying “this is all America’s fault”, well you better be fond of hammering rocks for 22 hours out of the day since that’s a phrase in particular Kim Jong-Un doesn’t want to be muttered again inside beautiful North Korea.
“This habit of the central authorities of blaming the wrong country when a problem’s cause obviously lies elsewhere has led citizens to mock the party,” the source told Radio Free Asia.
Is Kim Jong-Un trolling himself with these new guidelines? I mean hasn’t sarcasm been banned throughout that country even when his grandfather was in power?
Perhaps I’ve lost my mind trying to rationalize a lunatic.
