If you were driving around Kauffman Stadium Tuesday or flying your helicopter in Kansas City you may have noticed the large scoreboard featuring a friendly round of Mario Kart. That was the case for Tom Martin of KCTV who managed to get a view of the Mario taking the checkered flag at the home of the Royals.
Luckily though some stadium worker wasn’t outed by a news helicopter as the Royals announced that Mario Kart on the big screen was simply for charity and a ‘dry run’ for a potential charity auction.
That’s quite the setup though. Plus I’m sure it could make these long offseason workdays at baseball stadiums go by a little quicker.
