The 12-year Megyn Kelly era at Fox News will be coming to an end in 2017.
Kelly confirmed today that she’ll in fact leave the FNC and her highly rated Kelly File chair for NBC News where she’ll reportedly anchor a daytime news and talk show, an in-depth Sunday night news program and appear on the Network’s breaking news and political coverage.

The popular cable network personality is joining the peacock network, where she will anchor a new, one-hour daytime program, Andrew Lack, chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, said in a statement today.
As part of a broad, multi-year deal, Kelly will also anchor a new Sunday evening news magazine show and contribute to NBC’s breaking news, political and special events coverage.
Kelly’s move from Fox is nothing short of expected after tumultuous final year at the Network that included having to deal with the Jabba the Hutt or Roger Ailes fallout and constantly having to defend herself against Donald Trump and his supporters after not bowing down to the over-grown Oompa-Loompa like many other of her co-workers at the channel had no problem doing. Still though, Kelly’s show had the second highest ratings at the Network behind Bill O’Reilly and had roughly a $20 million dollar annual deal on the table from Fox News to stick around.
She’ll apparently make around that $20-million mark in her new role at NBC News.
Currently Kelly’s deal with Fox Sports is set to expire this summer but it’s unclear if FNC will offer her an early out.
