Rage Against the Machine will once again get their chance for Rock Music immortality.
Tuesday the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their list of 2019 nominees which included the innovative RATM, their second nomination after failing to make the final cut last year.
The two-time Grammy Award winning group has had a distinctive and consistent sound since forming in the early 1990’s. This has been most characterized by Zach de la Rocha‘s politically charged lyrics and Tom Morello‘s ingenious guitar sound.
Also nominated this year is The Cure (which is almost a crime that they aren’t already in the Hall to being with), Def Leppard, MC5, and John Prine. Omitted bands for 2019 include Nine Inch Nails and Bad Brains.
