One of the ongoing speculations at the White House is the job status of press secretary Sean Spicer.
It seems like ever since Donald Trump took office back in January, “Spicey’s” job has always seemed to be in question which continues to be the story here on June 19th. Perhaps though there’s something more to the Spicer’s speculation since it does have consistency considering we’re not really hearing about Steve Bannon getting ousted as chief strategist or Reince Priebus as chief of staff.
Then there’s reports from Bloomberg that the White House is considering a new position for Spicer while Politico is suggesting that Spicer himself is searching for new candidates to take over his job.
Last week, Spicer and White House chief of staff Reince Priebus reached out to Fox News personality Laura Ingraham about the role of press secretary and Daily Mail editor David Martosko about the role of communications director, according to a White House official.
Spicer and Priebus have had preliminary discussions with Ingraham and Martosko met with chief strategist Steve Bannon last week, according to the White House official.
So as you see it doesn’t get any better at the podium with the potential of Laura Ingraham taking over. Then again who would want to take over one of the worst jobs in Washington? Seriously, today’s White House press secretary with Trump in the oval office is the political equivalent to the clown who picks up poop behind the horses during a parade.
