Almost 24-hours ago nerds rejoiced as a teaser trailer dropped for a “secret” Ghostbusters movie that’s been in the works by director Jason Reitman, son of the franchises original director Ivan Reitman.

Initially I don’t think we’re going to be stricken with any kind of reboot to the original film. We already got that in the godawful remake a couple years ago which quite frankly the franchise didn’t need. What it did need though was a suitable sequel to the 1989 film and it looks like we’ll finally get it here.
So as it was apparently established we’ll have no remake here, we’re now left with some very important questions regarding the new film which is set for release in 2020.
First, what’s going on in the barn with all the lights? Is someone working on a proton pack which might be the first initial thought given the movie.
Second why is the Ecto-1 under tarp in a barn? The Ghostbusters were successful in eradicating Vigo in the second film. Was that all the world needed of the Ghostbusters at the time?
Third where is this barn? Obviously it’s not in Manhattan and who is the owner?
Finally, what kind of cast will be returning? Obviously knowing this will shed some light on what happened to the original characters after the second film. Sadly Harold Ramis more than likely won’t have a part in the film given his death in 2014 but that’s not to say that Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and/or Ernie Hudson won’t play some part in the new film.
