This past week, Israel assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a coordinated strike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beruit. This was a move that was widely celebrated by western zionists and imperialists and one that continues to be championed and white-washed in Western media alike.
Take for instance the white-washed headline from the Wall Street Journal above, “How Israel killed Hezbollah’s leader in underground bunker” which leads into an article that lacks any substantial truth to the situation. Once again Israel is championed as some supposed savior of the Middle East that has saved the world from a “vile terrorist”. In actuality, Israel’s indiscriminate bombing that included massive bunker-buster munitions was used not only to take out a foreign official of another country but once again killed vast numbers of civilians in the process violating international law—specifically the use of bunker-buster bombs in high density populations.
This was just the latest though when it comes to international law violations by Israel. Also this month, coordinated attacks believed to have been carried out by Israel booby-trapped walkie-talkies and pagers in Lebanon causing them to explode resulting in deaths and injuries across the country.
