If you’re a fan of loud, tempestuous guys in media you may be in luck, Donald Trump could be getting his own television network!
That’s right folks, the GOP Presidential candidate who’s currently free-falling in the polls, goes a little overboard with the spray-on tanner and apparently grabs all sorts of unsuspecting pussy because he’s a “star” may be setting himself up for a television network when and if he ends up losing this whole presidential election thing.
Here’s the Financial Times with the details:
Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner has informally approached one of the media industry’s top dealmakers about the prospect of setting up a Trump television network after the presidential election in November.
Mr Kushner — an increasingly influential figure in the billionaire’s presidential campaign — contacted Aryeh Bourkoff, the founder and chief executive of LionTree, a boutique investment bank, within the past couple of months, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
Their conversation was brief and has not progressed since, the people said. Mr Bourkoff and Mr Kushner both declined to comment.
What’s interesting is Trump may not have a tough time finding personalities if he decided to go this route. The Financial Times further reported that Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly have clauses in their contracts for an op-out, if Roger Ailes – the former head of FOX News – were to ever leave, which he obviously did a few months ago after sexual harassment claims forced him out. Ironically he’s now advising the Trump campaign which you can see is going extremely well.
Anyways, all of this would further begin to paint the picture behind Trump’s antics in recent weeks. Yeah he’s starting to really get his ass kicked when it comes to those battle ground states and with women, all by his own doing of course. However his loyal base doesn’t seem to care how much of that unsuspecting pussy he goes after or whether or not his asinine claims actually hold any water. This all could be part of the plan to add subscribers and not necessarily voters.
