🌍 Turkey resumes imperialist intentions by invading northern Syria

So Turkey is launching a military offensive into northern Syria just days after the U.S. pullout? Get the fuck outta here!

In one of the most expected military moves in quite some time, Turkish President Dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan tweeted Wednesday that he would roll forces into northern Syria against what is left of ISIS. However, since ISIS in the region is, for the most part, an afterthought, Erdogan’s true intentions are to slaughter Syrian Kurds who have long been allies of the United States and had a huge part in kicking the shit out of ISIS over the course fo the past few years.

Erodan further claimed that the incursion would “neutralize terror threats against Turkey and lead to the establishment of a safe zone, facilitating the return of Syrian refugees to their homes. … We will preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and liberate local communities from terrorists” which is the biggest load of bullshit spewed from this Dictator probably in quite some time.

The New York Times reports that “roughly 100 to 150 troops” were under a direct order by the U.S. President Donald Trump to relocate in preparation for Turkey’s incursion while NYT’s Eric Schmidt said on Tuesday’s episode of the Daily that two dozen U.S. special forces left Syrian military outposts at the country’s northern border with Turkey.

Also on Tuesday, the U.S.-allied Syrian Democratic Forces said ISIS has already begun to take advantage of a U.S. military roll out in the area by launching three suicide bombings against military positions near Raqqa.

What’s ironic about all of this is some “anti-war” proponents on the left and right have in some sense been unified by this decision to pull U.S. forces out of the area. And yes some may view the situation as a catch 22 in terms of the United States’ own brutal imperialistic policies, however, what makes this situation different is knowing what Turkey’s true intentions are before pulling out of the region and still doing it. Not to mention, when you stab a region with your own imperialistic knife, you don’t yank it out with the expectation that everything will be fine afterward. Because the U.S. is yanking out the knife after decades of their own incursioin, vast numbers of Kurdish people who have been fighting for their own freedoms against unforgiving dictatorships like ISIS, Bashar al-Assad in Syria and Turkey will lose their land, their freedom, and their lives.

Needless to say, the blood and possible genocide of the people in Rojava will be on the hands of NATO who will just sit back and watch a member country in Turkey inflict these crimes on humanity without any repercussion.
