Over the weekend, The New Yorker released an over 12-minute video of what happened inside the U.S. Capitol back on January 6. This was when a bunch of neofascist chuds stormed it to try and prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s electoral college win and I guess take over the United States.
The video itself was remarkable on a few fronts.
First, it further reaffirmed just how shitty the security and police presence was that day which I’m sure will lead to some kind of 9/11 style congressional investigation once Joe Biden is sworn in.
Second, I don’t think there should by any further doubt after watching and listening to these assholes who they were motivated and inspired by. Needless to say Donald Trump has to be in some kind of deep shit once he leaves office taking this whole thing into account.
Lastly, it was really quite remarkable how both organized and disorganized the whole thing was. I mean there was plenty of organization amongst this group to get into the Capitol and then make their way around it. Beyond that, though the level of disorganization was really quite interesting and telling of what kind of shitheads these people actually are. At one point you actually had individuals sifting through paperwork on the Senate floor seemingly trying to get some kind of chud intel on what was happening that day. On the other hand, you had clowns like the “Q Shaman” whose only tactic was to go room to room shouting and chanting like some blithering idiot.
You even had one guy say, “well I guess we better setup a government”…
